That concealed cabinet is awesome... great guy gift - in fact, I'm just going to order one for myself now.

Great ideas! I like to get clothes for my boyfriend though haha! He wears everything I get him, and he loves hats as well, so I like to get him some, but I always give a little extra on the side, computer programs, games etc.

It makes me so sad to see so much negativity here, I don't see the need of making such comments, every time I watch a video and look at the comments I see how most of the comments have nothing to do with the episodes, and most people feel the need to criticize someone's appearance. I'd love for that people to post some pictures of them, even better, recreate what you guys are accomplishing, I bet they're oh so perfect.... not

I'm always stumped what to buy my boyfriend and this year when I asked him, he said a watch (i bought him one last christmas and he wears it everyday), a pair of boots (the EXACT same ones he has already - how boring) and Cheeseburgers... hmmm interesting. I love the bacon ideas and the lock pick!!!! Nice suggesstions! Keep em coming! 

Really great episode. Funny, breezy and a few good tidbits. Unfortunately, I had to watch it twice because the first time I was too distracted by Julia's makeup and necklaces to pay attention to what was being said.

Second, lingerie? HORRIBLE idea. What a waste of money. BO-RING!

I think what I am getting my bf this year will go over really well... one of those big maps of the world that you can stick push pins into to indicate where you've traveled. We love exploring and traveling together, so this way we will have a cool way to document that. Plus, we just moved into a bigger apartment, so it works as wall art as well :)

Hammacher & Schlemmer (sp?) usually have some pretty creative ideas. Stay away from the nose hair trimmers! Haha.

Julia have a Great Point. Us men love gadgets that Plug-in. Any techie Gadget in general would make us happy :-)

Or any type of Bondage gear we can use on our woman, hehehe. You can never have to many Floggers :D The Gift that keeps on pleasing.

The Best Christmas gift I've ever gotten was a 60" HD TV. It goes without saying I didn't need to unwrap anymore gifts after I saw that.

Note: Not all men like Bacon (Yuck). Especially us men that don't even eat meat, much less any form of pork. If a woman offered me pork, I'd assume she was trying to kill me.

A journal was probably the worst gift I ever gave my "man." Lo and behold , he never uses it! I once got my serious long term high school boyfriend a framed photo of an ocean scene. He was a surfer and loved it! Guys need help with decor!

The gift ideas are great and I really feel like this video was really substantial, useful, and funny (all the bacon gifts!!)

First of all, I think you ALL looked great in this episode, and in my personal, biased opinion that usually doesn't happen. Bravo, ladies!
Second, all those bacon gifts made me laugh (especially since I grew up on a pig farm)! I want to see more Harrison!  

I found this sweater at the Gap two weeks ago that would look soo sexy on my boy, and I actually went home and asked his permission to buy it for him for Christmas. He was doubtful at first, but permission was granted to purchase it for him for Christmas. I think the permission request was so key, otherwise he would have been pissed! Thanks girls!

Julia looks fine from my perspective. It's a shame when some women can be so critical/jealous of each other. I'd say ignore what anyone else is saying. Unnecessary negativity on the net is extremely annoying.

I'm afraid I'd not be interested in any of the gifts you mentioned... Although the lock-pick was interesting, what would be far more interesting is a lock-picking practice cylinders, which teach you how to lock-pick and they come in three difficulties. It's a fun little hobby but not really practical.

So let's see - here's a list of gifts my girlfriend has bought for me, my sisters have bought their husbands and my brother has bought for his boyfriend over the last few years:
A not-too-expensive small laptop so he can surf the net and respond to emails.
A digital camera.
A cashmere jumper (so soft, so nice, especially in the winter. What? Men can be sensitive/sensual too!) Got some money? Get a Nicole Farhi cashmere top. Not got some money? Get one from Uniqlo.
A cashmere scarf/gloves/hat.

A poker set. Yeup - a clay-chip pro poker set. We don't play often, but it's such a fantastic gift and great for some fun nights in. Make sure to get Bicycle or Bee cards if they don't come with the set.
Is he into any sports? Tennis? Golf? Squash? Get him a great new racket! What's that? You date a flabby-gutted cretin who doesn't play any sports? Shame on you ladies!

My fiancé actually loved the electric razor I bought him last year.  And it doubled as a hint!  Also, computer games are always a plus.  He loves WoW and Starcraft, so I bought him Diablo II, the other Blizzard game, so not only did I know he would love it, but I play it as well, so we could play together.

But at least it added a little "heat" to the cold winter months.  ha! ha!

It definitely seems like Julia put a ton of thought into this list, and I applaud her for it.  

I actually thought the hidden frame, secret door and other "spy stuff" was cool and looked at some of it on the websites.  So Julia was correct that it interests guys.  However, I cannot figure out what I could possibly do with any of those items, other than get a few laughs.

Regardless, the episode was entertaining!

A few years ago, I kept asking a boyfriend what he wanted - and he kept saying "socks and underwear." Basically, he never wanted to do laundry again.

Alas, I got him a big pile of boxers, a bunch of socks, some Febreeze and a few boxes of shout wipes.

Now, why I encouraged my guy to NOT wash his clothes... that's beyond my current comprehension. I guess I was THAT smitten.

For your boyfriend - listen to him...what he needs and what he wants.  It's always nice to throw in something personal too.  Also, you can't go wrong with getting him tickets to a game to watch his favorite sports team or some sort of sports paraphernalia.  I'm surprised this wasn't listed.

I was hoping you might have some ideas that I could actually use this year but oh well, you don't. 

I agree- anytime I've gotten my boyfriend boxers or shirts, he just tosses them aside. He's into planes, so one time I got him a flight lesson at a small airport in NH, which was a half hour training class and then half an hour in the sky for around . I think that and tickets to see a taping of Conan O'Brien as well as tickets to Spamalot on Broadway are the most memorable experiential gifts I've given.

Julia, it's so good to see you having fun with a topic you have obviously put a lot of thought into.

It seems to me that guys always want more of the same stuff they already like.  Gamers want the new iteration of their favorite geek-out, sports nuts want tickets to their favorite team's home games, etc.  Guys who travel a lot don't want a new garment bag or wrinkle-proof khakis - they want shit to keep them busy on the plane.  Also, stuff with a high novelty value is always a hit, as for example the "Mr. T" and other wacky voice options for some GPS models.  One year, I bought my musician-boyfriend a new guitar.  No brainer, and he loved it.

Really it's just thinking about what he wants, instead of what you want him to want.  Great job picking up on that element!

Julia, definitely on the right track with regards to gifts.  Bacon thing was cute, although all men are chefs at heart, so food/cooking related gifts go a long way.

The lockpick thing (and any type of spy stuff) is a bit stalker-ish, and probably sends the wrong message.  Do you really want your man to break and enter your apartment?  As to the hidden safes/cabinets, you have to remember that we are hiding stuff --- from you!  So if you give us the hiding place, it doesn't really help.

On the outfits this week, Mary hit the home run (especially with hair), and Meghan's top is nice (curse that table!).  However, when it comes to pearls, every strand past the first adds ten years to the look.  Julia's picture in front of the guide was a lot better.

Best Christmas gift I ever gave my man was a leather-bound scrapbook filled with pics and various events/trips we enjoyed from our first year together. Awww shucks...cheesy but true, he loved it. It probably also helped that I included a bucket filled with tools, cooking utensils, gummy hot dogs, etc.

Lingerie is always a hit though, isn't it? Maybe I'll toss in some naughty Santa outfit to get him going.
And a hidden cabinet? Color me psyched! I'm so investigating that idea...great job, ladies!!!

I usually love the show but Julia looks dreadful in this episode. The styling? Yuck. The make-up? Double yuck. 

Julia, you are a pretty girl - you don't need to wear as much make-up as a tranny or a stripper.

I usually stumble through your videos facepalming and cringing at the content, like a train wreck it just so hard to look away (like watching a guy getting hit in the groin with a pinata stick) HOWEVER there are moments of where I actually go Hmmmm and it makes me wonder.  When I looked at the subject of your video I was bracing my self for the utter fail of what women think men want.  

You guys shocked me for a brief moment you actually peered into the vast chasm of the male mind and really REALLY got what we like.  We don't want ties, we don't want boxers and we don't want clothes that you think we should wear (all things my mom and grandmother are entitled to get me) I was surprised at the gifts you picked because I never knew how bad I wanted a lock pick or a hideaway cabinet until just now.  Most times I'm pretty whatever about gifts, I'm excited that somewhere, somehow a group of women figured out what we want, god knows we don't even know.
