Happy New Year!!! Julia Allison, Meghan Asha and Mary Rambin discuss their New Years Resolutions and find out who loves 'em, hates 'em and who doesn't even need 'em! Tell us your New Years Resolutions at TMIWeekly.com Less[-]
First time logging on since I last posted but no, not julia. I just happen to like her and only visit this loud, annoying web site because of her. Mary comes across as a total jealous and materialistic bitch. Megan is pretty as can be but bland. No idea why people come here solely to bash Julia.

UGH! Don't get me started about gym etiquette. Its either the woman who uses the aerobic machine that there is only one of for 2 hours and not wiping it off, (when there is a sign asking to limit your time to 30 minutes.) Or the lady who sits on another good machine for 45 minutes and actually uses it for about...4 (at an EXTREMELY slow pace.) And seriously! SHE ACTUALLY SITS ON THE BACK OF THE MACHINE. And when someone asks if she is using it, she gives them a rather rude look and "YES!" reply.
BTW. I LOOOOOOOVE Julia's style. It so cute and classy, sexy but still conservative. Also, I love all of the ladies' hair in this episode. Love Julia's curls, wish mine could do that. And the changes in Meghan's and Mary's. Def like the added volume.
OMG Mary I totally agree about the gym after New Years. I think it's great that people resolve to change, but it's frustrating, because they don't know good gym-etiquette. It usually dies down in mid-February though.
I'm resolving to eat healthy again. I lost some weight earlier this year through changing my diet, but I got really bad with ordering out and eating sweets this winter.
Too true. Her reactions and facial expressions to JA's madness are priceless. I love her. She could totally replace someone like Hasselbeck ... she has so much natural talent and looks so great on camera, and carries herself so well.

Thanks for the pat on the back.
As Julia will tell you, there is nothing that gets under my skin more than her tardiness.
And there is nothing that gets under her skin more than an unwarrented backhand comment from me.
Here's to a new start in '09!

Why does this read like Mary is signing in as Rachel25 and giving herself kudos? Although, "Hasselbeck" is a known tool. So this is not exactly a ringing endorsement.

Mary looks great in this episode!
Anyway, my New Years resolution is to re-focus on myself. After getting out of a 2 year relationship and losing sight of myself (channel Julia's whole "who would i become if i didn't settle" mentality) I really need to refocus on myself what's important to me. I've started doing more volunteer work at a nearby animal sanctuary and not saying yes so much to other people
My comment was in NO WAY poking fun of eating disorders. I actually wanted that part of the episode edited out, but for some reason it's still in there. I would NEVER actively make fun of eating disorders, that comment came out randomly to the girls and was not meant for public consumption.
I have to go with Mary on this one... I don't like doing New Year Resolutions because I feel everyone sets goal at this time of year... and somehow all the goals get lost in the midst of all the other goals out there.
But there is something magical about setting goals on a Sunday, especially if the Monday falls on the first day of the month. (I know, I'm weird.)
I also started my own tradition. On my 31st birthday, I listed 31 things I want to do/accomplish by the time I'm 32. I plan to continue this tradition because two months into it I am having a blast. It's more unique than traditions and actually gives me an action to complete.
But I loved reading your resolutions, JA! Go for it and have fun along the way (sans sugar and bad men of course).
Not only is Mary's haircut FANTASTIC, but her hair is so shiny and beautiful and glossy and gorgeous. And the cut has totally made her look even MORE beautiful, if that's possible, because she's already supermodel beautiful.
Bravo, Mary. You look amazing and chic and stunning.
A few weeks ago Julia said it's not constructive to comment on looks or clothing. I thought that wasn't allowed here. Or was that only when the comments were negative, Julia?

She'll probably order it killed because it's not complimentary towards her, but that "cranky bitch" Mary.

Oh come on, you know what we mean.
But if you have some major qualms with my appearance, I can take it. Comment away. Only the big stuff though. Don't waste your finger strokes on my shoulders 'cause they ain't goin' anywhere :)

I love your hair so much I am inspired to chop mine off in a bob. Seriously, it is AWESOME. You look so gorgeous.

Mary, thanks so much for answering honestly by saying that you can handle the criticism and not having a mini-freakout bitchfest like others (ahem) have been known to do. I continue to be impressed with how you and Meghan have evolved with your business and learn to juggle the feedback you receive, whether positive or negative. I think both of you have promising futures and I wish you the best.

If you aren't Mary stroking herself on her shiny hair, then you are some crazy Mary stalker and are scary. Are you a dude?

Huh... I commented already but it did not appear. Maybe I was black balled.
Anyway, as a fellow gym rat, I agree with Mary. The resolutions are really annoying. I am all for people trying to improve themselves, but why does everyone have to do it at the New Year? It is ironic that people recognize the need for change long before the New Year but lack the self discipline to do anything about. Then suddenly because of an arbitrary date, they think they can do it. If that is not an indication that you will break the resolution, I do not know what is.
Anyway, my most recent resolution was in October. I decided to eat more healthy. Unfortunately, it is still a work in progress to achieve the correct balance for my body. I definitely made improvements, but it caused me to lose over 10 pounds, which I did not want.
Ahhhh, resolutions...and I SO sympathize with Mary about the whole gym thing---it sucks hard for the rest of us REGULAR gym-goer's when suddenly the resolutioners decide to nab those spiffy new gym memberships and clog the joint up!
I would like to resolve to waste less time goofing off online...and so here I am commenting about it at one of my regular website stop's, of course...
I definitely want to go back to school for an MA in Art Education and/or Art Therapy though. Hopefully this year will be the year I resolve to start working on that finally!
You gals look super snazzy in this episode, btw!

ah yes, good eye with the binder clip on Julia's skirt! now that it's pointed out I can't stop staring at it. that's funny. I noticed her makeup looked a lot more toned down as well, amazing! also, I don't think there's anything wrong with enjoying cupcakes now and again! don't swear them off entirely, JA!
Julia, looking at the enormous list of resolutions on your blog, I'm reminded that the more things change, the more they stay the same.
You are the consummate "yes" person. Unlike some other people around here, I truly believe this comes from a place of good intentions and a willingness to please. I also truly believe that your list of resolutions comes from your wholehearted desire to work on things you know need it. But in creating such a huge list and expecting such perfection out of yourself, you're violating one of your own rules by just saying yes to EVERYTHING you want to change, regardless of how outrageous that expectation may be.
We all have a 30-odd bullet-point list of things we'd like to change about ourselves, of challenges we'd like to overcome. But you'd be a whole lot better off if you just picked one thing - something that gets to the root of a few of your concerns - and stick to it.
Me, I'm cutting chips - just chips - out of my diet this year. They're one of my favorite snacks (helloooo, guacamole), but I also know they trigger me to eat more junk and less healthy food, they make me less motivated to go to the gym, and they make me bloated. If I cut out just this one bad behavior, I'm so much more likely to participate in so many other good ones.
As a fellow gym rat, I definitely subscribe to Mary's school of thought. The resolutioners are REALLY annoying at the gym. However, it is actually sad to see almost everyone break their resolution. It shows a complete lack of discipline.
I do not understand why people need to use the New Year to motivate themselves to make positive changes. In fact, it seems ironic that many people recognize the need to change well before the New Year but can't bring themselves to action it until the New Year. That is a clear indication that the resolution it is not very important to you, and you probably will not be able to keep it.
Anyway, my non new year resolution in early October was to eat healthier. I am definitely doing that, but still trying to achieve the correct balance. It caused me to drop 10 pounds, which I do not want.
I have the same resolution: to eat healthier and less less carbs. But I'm in a tight economic situation right now, like a lot of twenty-something New Yorkers, and it's getting harder to find healthy "cheap" food. Mary, if you're reading this by any chance, I'd love to hear you try to tackle "healthy eating on a budget" cuz I would love to hear your suggestions.

Mary is so right about New Year's resolutions. They're so stupid. Adults know they're stupid. She's an adult, as opposed to the child sitting across the table from her.
And her hair looks amazing.
I wonder: Was JA's New Year's Resolution to call her supposed best friend a bitch and then post it to her blog? Because that was super-classy. A better JA indeed. What a joke. Julia, it's NOT hard for you to be more awesome. You have a long, long way to go.
Meagan also alluded to Mary being a bitch right here in this very episode. Mary herself has resolved to being less snappish. There is no questions that all three seem to think this is an issue for Mary. Don't pick on Julia for calling her out on it. Julia is just honest and that is very refreshing in a world of phonies.

I can see Julias paper clip type thing tightening her skirt to her body basically the whole episde. haha, nice work silly JA.
My new years resolution is to think before I speak, and Not interupt my boyfriend. I am a total interupter.
The binder clip is totally my fault. I knew the skirt would be too big when I picked it out from The Limited, but it was the only size they had. And I knew she would love it. I think it looks very Prada.
Over the past 6 months, I've become a HUGE Limted fan. Their stuff looks great and fits within a budget. Plus, while everyone else is shopping H&M, Zara, and Forever 21 for their affordable finds, you will no doubt be the only one rocking your Limited. Remeber that green ruffle halter I wore a few episodes ago. LOVE!
Back to the clip. Thus far, I have been successful at hiding my little stylist nips and tucks. Sorry Jules.

Perhaps next time you could apply it to her mouth?

I think that Mary, queen of the backhanded compliment, just told everyone she thought Julia was chubby - hence getting the bigger skirt and having to make her "little stylist nips and tucks." Nice one, Mary.

No, the skirt was a size 10. Julia has the tiniest waist I have ever seen. She's a 2 or a 0. I can't even squeeze into her dresses.
It was the only one they had :(

Wow Mary. Hats off to you. You are truly the queen of the backhanded apology to the backhanded compliment. Julia has admitted her height and weight on Nonsociety and there is no way she is a size 2 or 0, so your blatant exaggeration is hilarious. And the bit about a tiny waist (no mention of hips or butt) is just the icing on the cupcake. Bravo.

As girls who seem to have a few food issues lurking beneath the surface, it's not very funny or cute for you to make fun of eating disorders.
