Cutting Carbon Footprints

“In the past 10 years, one Danish island has cut its carbon footprint by a staggering 140 per cent. Now, with a simple grid of windfarms, solar panels and sheep, it’s selling power to the mainland and taking calls from Shell.”
-Robin McKie reporting on Samso for The Observer
Can you imagine if the U.S. did something like this? The Danish Island of Samso reduced their carbon footprint by 140%. Think of how much we could reduce ours by simply implementing solar panels, wind energy, and green automobiles. Ugh- I want this change so much for our country. It could spawn a new industry that could create jobs for our country, thus relieving us from the economic crisis we’re currently facing.
