I was searching through a random acquaintances photo album and I noticed in the way background of a picture there was my friend's boyfriend making out with this other girl. He had told her that he was "away" for the weekend visiting his grandparents.

I recently learned that one of my HS teachers was banging one of my classmates our Sophomore year at Boarding School. We all knew something was up between them and that he was scum. After Sophomore year he didnt return- instead he married this girl (who had graduated a year before me) after he knew her for 3 months. They moved to Washington and 8 months later had a baby... prematurely right? lol... anyways a few months ago I typed his email address in to FB and found his profile. It was private but not after I joined the Seattle network!! I dont think his wife knew he had a facebook... he had added some random people I didnt know- It was like he was a completely different person- I didnt know it was him until I saw some comments left by the girl I went to school with. They were so dirty! all this stuff about "oh yeah remember that time when we went up to the soccer field? It was raining and it was so hot blah blah blah" I could NOT believe this stuff! they just put it all on blast thinking no one they actually knew would think to find it. Do people really get off on stuff like that? I mean he had a myspace and everything, with a photo of a cross in the back ground, all this mess about how God has blessed him with a wonderful family and everything (oh yeah, he was a religion teacher lol)

Did you say "ass cance"?  LOL. The word is askance pronounced "uh-skants" accent on 2nd syllable.  I cringed when I heard the way you said it. Reminded me of the way I would say the word "melancholy" when I was young and had only read it but never heard anyone say it.

I don't go on fb that often, but I have stumbled on some juicy information. Maybe the biggest thing was that my college ex (my most serious boyfriend yet) was dating a girl who tormented me in high school. Yeah, I totally freaked out. I mean, what are the odds?? It was gratifying to see them break up, though. Ah, schadenfreude.

At the beginning of the year I was dumped and it broke my heart. After creeping his facebook (my friend has "fake accounts with different networks) I found out that not only was I dumped because he wanted to become a devout Christian, but he had knocked up some girl from church and in one month they are getting married.

Funny you should mention relationship status. One of my girlfriends was seeing a new guy and during one of our phonecalls she suddenly says "I just want us to be in an official relationship because I really want to change my relationship status on Facebook. I just can't handle being single on Facebook, it basically just advertises to everybody I know that I'm single and lonely". I hope that is not the only reason she wants to be in a relationship with this guy! Actually, when I come to think of it the same girlfriend replied to the question "What you up to?" with "Just checking who has changed their relationship status on Facebook." Okay, maybe she is a little obsessed.

I agree with Julia. I keep my relationship status as single because I don't want everyone to know what is happening with my love life - especially not old friends from high school, my boss, my teenage cousins or my parents friends (I feel mean not accepting their friend requests). However, being single on facebook occasionally brings me problems... single guys from my college or high school all of a sudden, after not talking for years, writing on my wall trying to chat me up. Then, of course, my boyfriend pulls me up about it and questions me about the random guy writing on my facebook wall. You can never win!

No, no, no!  ... when three gorgeous girls walk up to you and ask if you're the 'Facebook Gangsta', the answer is YES!!!

OMG what juicy information HAVN'T i found on facebook?! I remember when facebook was just starting to get popular at my college. It was hilarious how girls and guys would go crazy over who writes on whos wall and all that mess. THEN they launched the News Feed and new home page. I think everyone  LOST THEIR MIND!! And now the even newer facebook gives you even MORE information about your man's every move!! I would like to give a HUGE shout out and thank you to facebook for making mankind work a LIL BIT harder to cover up their dirt and sketchiness! :) For example my favorite...yes girls can tag your man in pictures, and yes they can go and UN-TAG them..but now a girl can post a pic of her and your man right on his WALL! I love it :) HAHA! 

I found out my fiance had a girlfriend and basically a completely different life he was leading on Myspace! I was sitting at work, bored, and I just typed in his email to see what would come up (really I wasn't even trying to catch him doing anything, I don't know what made me do it) and there it was, his page, open to the public, a completely different life with a different girl. It sucked at the time, but was the best thing that ever happened to me. I moved on and moved up quick and haven't turned back. He was an idiot. Thank gawd I didn't marry that f-head.

Meghan, you're the true star, and it's painfully obvious that the other two are marginalizing you. They give you topics that are about as fresh, timely and mature as that three-month old copy of CosmoGirl sitting under the chair in my doctor's office waiting room. Break out and do your own thing, girl!

Facebook must have eliminated 90% of cheating for people our age. I mean, how sketchy would it be if someone refused to tell you their name because they didn't want to get facebook'ed and see that they were in a relationship and THEN see exactly who they're in a relationship with! It's pretty impressive.

I really liked all the extra video on this episode. Especially the facts about all the girls! However, to make more then one facebook page you have to use different names/emails and that's sometimes confusing. Another alternative is 1.) don't put anything you are afraid of someone seeing on your facebook (hint: a lot of employers check on facebook/myspace before hiring someone) or 2.) make your profile limited to those certain people who you only want to see certain things.
