Mary, I saw your haircut on your blog, and it is AWESOME! So fantastic. Meghan said you looked like Cameron Diaz, but you look many times better than Cameron Diaz. A FANTASTIC cut!

This was a great episode. Mary, I don't mean this in an insulting way at all, but your hair looks so much better after the cut than it does in this. I think the short hair just works for you far better than the longer hair. Way more age appropriate, unlike the Pink by Victoria's Secret tops you guys are rocking... I mean really? I use to work there and I can not support that company in any way, shape, or form. Seriously. Check out their labor practices in the Maldives. It's not pretty.

I have an amazing 1br in SF and I will be in NYC and DC From mid Dec til after the Inauguration I'd love to swap apts. I can send pics of my place (i'm an aspiring home stager...trust me the place is cute!) Let me know!

Meghan, thanks for all these tips. I've been using Kayak.com..... which is soooo outdated. I love farecast, especially since my parents live in CA and I'm in NY. I will definitely sign up and use this next time!

Extremely useful show!  I travel a lot, but definitely learned some new sites.  Best tip on hotels isn't on a particular site, but find out who a major company is where you are headed, call a good hotel there, and ask for that company's rate.  This also works with companies that negotiate rates with chains nationwide.

BTW, I thought Julia looks great.  Most girls shy away from horizontal stripes, but the top put the right emphasis, and the scarf dress is a great color for a brunette.

I've never done it, personally, but know people who have - it is actually decidely less sketchy than it would seem, as you can pick hosts based on ratings/comments by other users... Plus, you get a unique, authentic "local" experience living in a real home rather than in a hotel...

I loved this episode, it was cute and helpful, and I actually laughed out loud when Julia yelled "CANCUN!"

Julia, you're a fairly pretty girl so I don't understand why you have to bury your looks in such distracting clothes and makeup. They do you no favors... especially the horizontal stripes and tangerine orange. 

Also - the overdone, cartoony way you nod at what Meghan is saying is very distracting. It's like you're trying way too hard.
