You can swap frequent flyer miles for stuff, services and miles. It’s like buying stuff on eBay without spending cash. I use www.swapadvd.com (as well as swapacd.com and paperbackswap.com).  I've gotten rid of my old, unwatched DVD's and got different ones in return!

The barter ideas are fantastic, especially with the economy as it is; we should all be looking to barter more. My question is what do I do with my old broken gadgets that I need to recycle? Example: broken Sidekick LX (I moved onto an iPhone - you'd be proud) or items like chargers for other old cell phones/gadgets. How do we recycle those types of things?
