I really enjoyed this episode. It's great to know that there are places like Ilus that you can rent dresses instead of spending tons of money on something you might not wear again. With that said, props to Julia for wearing her HS dress. I love it and it looks great on you!

Well I've been reading Julias blog for quite a while now... and then non-society started up and so I checked out Mary and Meghans blog.

I've really enjoyed reading Mary's head-to-toe's, I've really enjoyed Meghans URL's and Julias usual chitter chats.

This new addition is cute, and I'll definatly check it out consistantly to support and what not. Some of the comments on here are totally harsh. I have no doubt that you guys are trying to relax and be yourselves... of course you're only human and you may unintentionally put up a bit of a front or act a tad differently then you normally would because your on camera, WHO WOULDN'T!!!

I just wish if people didn't have anything nice or constructive to say, then dont say it at all! Didn't your parents teach you that Commenters! (AKA Adam and Spezzatura)

Keep it up, hold your head high and get ready for unnecissary critisism. 

Just remember though... This isn't the internet view/hot topics. Demonstrations of Make up and style tips would be great! *IDEA* Maybe you could do a segment of mary or the other girls getting ready to go out for different things, elaborating on why you chose to pair the pieces that you did! like the scene in Sex and the City the movie where Carry is cleaning out her closet to move in with big!!! If I were you, I would totally do that!!!

Mary, you come across as a passive aggressive, condescending bitch when you tell Julia you can't believe she can still fit into her dresses from college. 

Hey ladies! Big fan here and I really admire and appreciate the fun stuff you three toss at us thanks to these wacky glimpses into your lives. BUT, I do have to echo a few other sentiments here, since I actually am "rooting for you" too. 

While it's great to hear your tips and whatnot, I think all of us are just too curious about other elements of your lives to really take all this to heart. As out there and open as you allow yourselves to seem, I sorta feel like we're looking at the Wizard of Oz before Toto revealed the man behind the curtain...it all sorta seems like a clever facade.

Why not just give us glimpses of the REAL nonsociety ladies beneath the shimmer and shine? Like instead of just talking about going to the Met, tell us how WE can snag such high society invites in 24 hours. Instead of showing us your various party invites and tales, tell us how WE can fake and make our way into such shindigs as well. Instead of showing us all the designer glory you all seem to effortlessly pull off, tell us how WE can acheive the same style aesthetic on a limited budget((although kudos to Meghan for giving us the scoop on the dress rental place..how about those of us outside the NYC area then?)). 
After all, if "nonsociety" is what you truly represent, I'd like to think you gals would have no problem revealing the true tricks of your trade and what's lurking beneath all those shiny designer sleeves.

At any rate, I know you're just starting here and working out all the tweaks and whatnot, but please do listen to your readers here as well...most of us are rooting for you here and hate to see you guys ripe for yet more criticism. 

Show the world the TRUE meaning of "nonsociety", not just a fleeting glimpse of three lucky young ladies who have mysteriously expensive tastes on supposedly limited means.

Three cheers for fluff!  Really, what lovely little breaks from the workday.

Hey I would be happy if you can give us a video demo of a style of makeup or show us how to dress for a particular occasion (wedding, prom, date) etc instead of just talking about it. The advantage of "video" is you can do more things than talk.

I have more ideas. Julia can show us about "dating body language" and Meghan can show us some new iphone app. I think it will put you across as experts in your chosen fields. 

This sucks. You obviously think your audience is even dumber than you are.

I think the criticism is a bit harsh, personally. I think it's all a bit of fun (plus a hefty dose of spin and marketing) and I've enjoyed getting to know the team via Non Society. This new venture looks like it won't teach me anything super deep and meaningful I don't know, but it will be fun following the story. 

Why are there so many people that just don't get JA & Co?

It's kind of like The Monkies for the Web 2.0 generation. 

So, I've enjoyed your blogs and written to you guys asking what nonsociety is... Checked in and was excited to see the (a?) show was finally up.  But I have to echo what the above commenter says.  I was rooting for you guys-- really I was-- but yikes.  Your style tips are "makeup and hair make your face pop," and "everyone should have a black dress"?   This episode seemed a bit condescending actually.  You insist you are out of the loop of such fancy events and seem to want to set a tone that nonsociety is edgy or something.  But from the outside, there is a lot of press about your wealth, and you frequently post on your blogs about the expensive clothing and jewelry you buy and wear and the celebrities you mingle with.  Why not revel in it instead of the act?  I've never actually left comments like this before, but I think that we-- your readers-- are the strength on which you sell yourselves.  

ok, so respect to all three of you for putting yourself out there despite the obstacles and rampant criticism... BUT (you knew that was coming right?) whoever is coaching you guys needs to take a step back for a moment and get a grip. the more mary talks about how she's a style blogger and things "popping", the more meghan plays with her iphone (which was thankfully not a player in this episode), the more it comes off as fake and put-on. these roles are supposed to be natural to you guys... so maybe try letting it be natural. maybe it's all editing, but i suspect that the real reason behind julia coming off as the only one who knows what she's doing is because she's the only vet blogger / oversharer / lifecaster in the group. don't take yourselves so seriously, m&m, the really interesting parts of this experiment are when you lay down the titles, drop the "i'm a serious blogger no really" marketing angle, and act like who you are: a fashion enthusiast, a smart girl, and an avid student in the art of falling in love. bloggers are a dime a dozen. you have to prove that you're more than that to capture the attention you're seeking.
