Just because you're going all out on Thanksgiving, doesn't mean you have to throw out your good eating habits. Mary Rambin shares her healthy eating tips while still being able to enjoy everything on the table. Plus, we want to know your traditional family recipes, so send 'em in to TMIweekly.com! Less[-]
Ladies, I can't find the Head to Toe on this episode! Julia, I especially love your outfit -- the dark nails and bracelet give the cute outfit some extra edge.
Mary, you are a stunning looking woman, very elegant and graceful. As for the hair -- all you need to do is cut it. I have the very same hair type, including the color. If I cut it into a bob just above my shoulders, it looks a million times healthier. An inch below my shoulders and it starts to look thin and dry.
I'm so glad to hear you all enjoyed this episode. I was afraid it was a little fluffy, but if you're smiling, so am I.
I know my hair sucks, trust me, I get it. During the month of December I'm going to try to restore it.
Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving!!
I agree with the other commenters, Mary was very clear speaking and charming in this episode.
My favorite Thanksgiving treat? Cranberry sauce from a can.
Pecan pie is absolutely the worst thing to eat, when it comes to diet. I prefer natural apple or cherry. But then, I have to eat lower calorie desserts, as my favorite part of the bird is the skin! Mainly 'cause I'm not terribly fond of turkey meat. Or chicken, for that matter.
My favorite part of Mutant-Chicken Day is the potatoes.
And Julia, you need to calm down.
And Meghan, beautiful as always.
And Mary, your hair... stop frying it. But as others have said before me, your approach to this episode is refreshing. Now if only we could hear you over Julia...
I was pretty high on caffeine throughout this taping. So. Sorry. This is what happens to me when I take Midol (has a heap of caffeine in it).
I get really excited.

Seriously,
JA- mega props you for taking any and all criticism you get in these comments graciously, and with a grain of salt-- you remind me a ton of myself, and my totally well meant, or unintentional over excitement, often gets read in the worst ways- i'd claw every negativity spewing bitch's eyes out given the opportunity :)
Mary- you're totally blossoming before the camera!
Meghan- tons of love to your mom and her non-cooking!

On Oprah today she had a CD of Christmas music that you can download for free.
She had on Christina Ferrar-a/e/i/o/u, who demonstrated how to roast a turkey, make a tasty cornbread stuffing, a delicious-looking no-bake pumpkin chiffon pie, and other fixin's.
She showed how to make special gifts for everyone for practically pennies, gifts that over the years made her cry and are still her favorites.
Your tips are good too...
I love how Thanksgiving has it's own favorites unique to each family tradition. Our stuffing is the best..even though it's probably one of the worst things to eat. A little bit of everything is the best policy though!
Our stuffing is just a loaf of bread broken up with poultry seasoning, sage, onions and the secret (cream of mushroom soup) It makes the stuffing moist and holds it all together. It's amazing!! Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Loved this episode girls!!!
At my home we eat "mushy carrots"
It is a ton of carrots boiled real good, then mashed with a but of butter, some of the water the carrots were boiled in and brown sugar. SO good. its like a vegitable desert!

FACT! I have a totally unattractive laugh. But? It's real.
What can ya do? I'm just lucky I can laugh at all.

Another cute n' fluffy one, ladies---thanks for the smile! ;-)
And when I do eat big meals and even while at buffets((the rare times I eat at them)), I eat the very same way Mary does, coincidentally: a sample portion of everything I want to try piled only on one plate. Because honestly, I'm a foodie who wants to try almost EVERYTHING, but I'm a vain foodie who wants to stay her same dress size, hence my crafty hearty meal eating shortcuts.
Also, you haven't lived until you've had my mom's sweet potato casserole and corn pudding. And cajun spinach stuffing too! MmMMMmm...now I WILL eat big helpings of those, of course... ;-)
Happy Thanksgiving to the nonsociety gals and the rest of you lovelies here! Yes, I even direct that sentiment to the sour pickles who get off on leaving rude/condecending comments here---because even sour pickles need love too!

The November 2005 version of Gourmet magazine had a runoff of 40 turkey recipes, and they found the best was the simplest: turkey + salt + pepper @ 450F til 170F (uncovered, just in a roasting pan, about 1.5 to 2.5 hours), then rest until internal gets to 180F. No basting, stuffing, etc. that adds a lot of sins to the bird. This is pretty much what the latest infrared, no-oil turkey fryers do.
If you are going to cook heavy, lean towards recipes that favor fats with lesser carbs. While I agree veggies in cream sauce are in issue, filling up on the stuffing and cornbread is a bigger issue.
Better to space out two smaller plates over the course of the evening than pile on one big plate. For dessert, natural cobbler (little to no sugar added) and a small scoop of ice-cream beats the pumpkin pie.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving ladies!!! Good show!
Mary REALLY impressed me in the last two shows. She does a fantastic job presenting her ideas clearly and confidently. Her style is such that her perspective is given as an alternative, and therefore complements what others have to say. In my opinion, this approach is much better for a co-hosted show like TMI. Nice job.
Mary has been working her ass off (she can't say that, or it'll sound like she's bragging) so thank you for recognizing that. :)

GREAT episode Mary! It's good to finally hear some sane health advice on the show. Love the new and FAR better direction it's going in, I think this is one of my favorite episodes thus far.
Keep up the good work :)
TOTALLY random, without searching, this came across my path. Copied from AdAge.

Julia doesn't even listen to what the others say. She just wants to talk talk talk and almost squirms when she has to sit there and wait for her friends to stop talking, and usually can't manage it and interrupts them to bring it back to her. It's so embarrassing.
